I created this work by exploring the fear this animal inspires in me, with the intent of delving deeply into it and unmasking it. I'm frightened by its unpredictability, by the impossibility of controlling its behavior, and all of this reflects how calm we are only when we feel we have control over our lives, our emotions, our instincts, and how in reality this is only an illusion. Native Americans had words to speak to it and worshipped it as a spirit bearer of great teachings related to the relationship with nature and its elements.
